Artist Statement:

As a life-long photographer, I'm drawn to the intersection between photography and glass, for both landscape and portrait work. For landscapes I stack multiple layers of glass – each with a different segment of the landscape scene – to suggest light and depth and the mystery of nature. For portraits I try to include an element of fun, with unexpected colors or textures. You never quite know what you will find when you open the kiln, which adds to the mystery of glass.
