Artist Statement:

Myania Moses is an award-winning fiber artist who has exhibited locally and nationally. Myania has a degree in Dance and Art Education from the University of Michigan and a degree in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University. Myania is a member of Studio Art Quilt Association, Surface Design Association, Potomac Fiber Arts Guild, and Stitch Salon.

Myania has always maintained an art practice. When her time was in high demand due to raising a family and running a pediatric occupational therapy clinic, she always made the time to keep her drawing practice vibrant. Since retiring from her career as an occupational therapist, she has pursued her artwork full time. She is at her happiest printing, painting, drawing, cutting, reassembling fabric, and using her sewing machine to create extra layers and depths to complete a finished piece of art.
