Artist Statement:

My love of botanical printing began in Texas during the Covid years. As I refined my art of printing on silk scarves, I utilized local foliage, including tumbleweed! As a previous math geek, the process element and scientific nature of the craft fascinated me. Due to using natural dyes, colors can be modified by pH, temperature, or time changes. Moving to DC brought my adventurous side forth. Although still printing scarves, I expanded my skill to printing on linen, cotton, and denim.
